Oh, he most definately is. :) If you think I'm opinionated here,
you should listen to me on the radio! :) However I might suggest you
read what I have to say, for I just might have a few answers to some of
your most important questions, but only if you look really hard. :)

That's just it, to refer back to my previous posting, I said,
"Business is not the enemy, IGNORANCE is." The total role of the federal
government is stated clearly in the Constitution, and it says nothing
about hand-holding the ignorant. If a person is ignorant, it is up to the
PERSON to become educated. If they fail to do so, you are witnessing the
laws of Natural Selection in action. :) Hey, it's nature, thus NATURAL!

I don't think you will find one person who doesn't know that
cigarettes cause disease. Even (especially) the new crop of kids that
just started smoking. It says so right on the package! They [all
smokers] know the risks, but they light up anyway. It is a lifestyle and
health choice that THEY make. So long as their smoking doesn't bother me,
I don't care what they do to their own bodies. People [should] have the
right of choice on what foods and drugs they put into their own bodies.
And as for EMF and RF hazards, most of the people who own cell phones say
"Yea, I know" when I tell them of the hazards. They have all heard the
story about the higher than normal incidence of BRAIN CANCER in lawyers
and other professionals who use cell phones alot, and that the tumors
cluster behind the ear, about the area of the ANTENNA. They acknowledge
that what I tell them is true, they even agree that they notice "that
their ears get hot" from the induced thermal reaction of the microwave
energy, yet they continue to use them. :-/ Natural selection my friend!

Actually, you should read the Constitution. The essential role of
the government is to provide for the defense of the several states against
foreign invaders. :) It is up to the individual to inform and educate
themselves. The information IS out there [example, this mailing list] and
people can find it [I did] and thus educate themselves [as WE are]. :)

The government is OWNED by big business, and big ENERGY companies
own the most hazardous sources of EMF, the POWER LINES. What can they do?
They can't move them, we can't live without power, so just like with the
GULF WAR SYNDROME, only the GOVERNMENT can _continue_to_deny_ the dangers
and thus protect big money interests and big energy from enormous liability.

(you know, a number of years ago I wanted to buy a new bed, a WATER bed,
but the electric heating pad gave me concern. When I tested it with my
gauss meter at 6" from it [about where my body would be] I found it to be
over 50 milligauss. The european exposure limit is 1mG and the US is 2mG.
I looked at several brands, even tested the one marked "low EMF" and found
it was nearly the same. So I decided to go ahead and just buy the one
that looked to be the best made, and proceeded to apply LOGIC to the
problem. I found it was nothing more than a resistive heating element
sandwiched inside of a few layers of asbestos gauze. To be cheap, the
company just applies 110v AC directly to the element to heat it. My
solution was to convert the 110v AC into 110v DC so that the magnetic
lines of flux would not be switching, but would be continuous wave, the
same as the 500,000mG that the earth puts out, the same stuff that makes
compass needles point north. I assume that the continuous wave flux that
the earth puts out is not hazardous, because we're all here after millions
of years of evolving, and that my increase to 500,050mG [.01%] CW is not
going to affect me that much. Since I didn't need a clean DC, I just cut
the line to the pad and inserted a full wave bridge rectifier, and a series
inductive choke, which reduced my alternating wave magnetic flux to well
below .1mG measured directly on top of the pad. IGNORANCE is the enemy!)
